West Cheshire Autism Hub to join Dial West Cheshire
Local charity Dial West Cheshire, which aims to improve the lives of disabled people, will welcome the West Cheshire Autism Hub as part of its team from May 2023.
Originally based at The Bluecoat in Chester, the Autism Hub first opened its doors in 2021.
By working in partnership with other organisations, the Autism Hub provided a welcoming space for autistic adults and their families to visit and access a range of services.
COVID-19 inevitably impacted on the Autism Hub’s ability to deliver in-person support and the team has faced other challenges with the sustainability of the service.
As a respected point of contact in the local community for disabled people, including autistic adults and their families, Dial is well placed to host the Autism Hub alongside its range of other services.
Based at Dial House in Chester, as well as working from outreach locations across the borough with partner organisations, the Autism Hub will primarily offer an appointment-based service, allowing autistic adults to get the support they need.
Local NHS organisations and Cheshire West and Chester Council have committed to jointly funding Dial to deliver this much-needed, sustainable service for autistic adults and their families.
The Autism Hub’s usual communication channels are still live and will continue to be updated with the latest information and advice.
