The 2025/2026 NHS Young Researcher surveys are now LIVE!
Young people across the country are being invited to share their experiences of health and care as part of this year’s NHS Young Researcher programme.
The NHS Young Researchers are a group of 16–25-year-olds within the NHS Youth Forum who lead their own research projects on the big health issues facing their generation. Working with NHS England and Barnardo’s, they design national surveys, analyse the findings, and recommend improvements to care.
This year’s surveys explore the three major shifts in the government’s 10-Year Health Plan:
1. Moving from analogue to digital
Where do young people get their health information, and how does it shape decisions?
For ages 13–25.
Take the survey: Analogue to Digital – NHS Young Researchers Survey
2. Preventing illness, not just treating it
What stops young people from accessing early support? Do they feel listened to?
For ages 13–25.
Take the survey: Treatment to Prevention – NHS Young Researchers Survey
3. Moving care from hospitals to local communities
What are young people’s experiences of community health services?
For 11–25 year olds, parents/carers, and staff working with young people.
Take the survey: Hospital to Community – NHS Young Researchers Survey
These surveys have been created by young people, for young people, with the aim of shaping future services. Please share them widely.
